NEET Exam Pattern 2018

Being a NEET 2020 aspirant, you should not only be concerned about the syllabus, reference books, preparation, planning and coaching but also be well-aware of the exam pattern. Getting familiar with the NEET exam pattern 2020 is important as –

Considering the exam pattern of NEET 2019, the pattern for NEET Exam 2020 is more or less going to be the same as till now there has not been any official announcement regarding the change in it. Refer to the information provided below to know the pattern for NEET-UG 2020.

NEET Exam Pattern 2020

  • The examination will be conducted in offline mode
  • The question paper consists of 180 questions
  • All the questions will be objective type, i.e. multiple choice questions
  • The duration of the examination is 3 hours
  • The question paper covers syllabus from Physics, Chemistry and Biology
  • The NEET UG 2020 examination will be conducted in 11 languages which include – English, Hindi, Gujarati, Marathi, Kannada, Oriya, Bengali, Assamese, Tamil, Urdu and Telugu
  • Any candidate who opts for any of the regional languages mentioned above will be offered the exam centre in the specific state where the language is spoken
  • For each correct answer, 4 marks will be awarded to the candidate and for each wrong answer, 1 mark will be deducted from the total. There will be no deduction from the score if no answer is given for a question
  • Each subject will have 45 questions (Physics 45, Chemistry 45 and Biology – Botany 45 & Zoology 45)

NEET 2020 Syllabus

The NEET syllabus 2020 will be designed by the Medical Council of India (MCI) based on the syllabi of Class XI and Class XII. There would be three subjects – Physics, Chemistry and Biology. In addition to the above-mentioned pattern, the candidate should also keep in mind the following –

  • Mark the answer sheet using the black/ blue ball pen
  • Admit card along with the passport-size photo affixed on it
  • The passport-size photo to affix on the attendance sheet
  • A postcard-size photo to affix on the pro forma
