What is the Age Requirement for NEET 2018 Exam?

A candidate must not be younger than 17 years and older than 25 years as or on 31st December of the year of the admission. For the candidates who belong to reserved categories have an age relaxation for 5 years which means maximum age limit for such candidates 30 years.

How Many Times Can I Appear for NEET Exam?

The NEET authorities introduced restriction to the number of times a candidate can appear for NEET Exam. According to the official announcement, a candidate can only apply for NEET Exam three times only.

What is The Educational Qualification Requirement for NEET 2018 Exam?

A candidate needs to pay Rs.1400 as a general candidate and Rs.750, if the candidate belongs to SC, ST, and PH category.

What Are the Documents Required for NEET 2018 Exam?

  • Scanned copy of your recent photograph. It should be in JPG format and file size must be between 10KB to 100KB. Make sure that the photograph is taken with a white background and the candidate’s name and date of photo taken must be mentioned at the bottom of the Photograph.
  • Scanned copy of your signature. It should be in JPG format and file size must be between 3KB to 20KB.






Requirement for Aadhaar for the NEET Applicants 2018

Candidates, who are Indian Citizens and ordinary residents of India, shall register in NEET 2018 using Aadhaar. As the application forms for NEET 2018 are yet to be released, candidates can apply for the Aadhaar card to the nearest centre.

  • Also, candidates can make the payment in offline mode through challan at bank or e post office.

1.) Go to the official website of the NEET and find the “apply online” link for the NEET Exam 2018. Click on it.

2.) Carefully read all the important instructions and perform the online registration steps which are the first part of your application. Simply follow the on-screen instruction to complete the online registration.

3.) Once you complete the online registration, a registration number will be generated. Note down the registration number for further steps.

4.) Log into your account using the generated registration number and fill in the required information as suggested like Personal Details, Birthplace information, Contact Details, Domicile of Candidates, Parents/Guardians Details, Applicant’s Details, Qualifying Details, State Quota, Language of examination, Choice of examination centre.

5.) Review the information provided by you in the application form carefully and then submit it. Make sure to properly check the information marked in red before submitting the form.

6.)  Once submitted, you will be then prompted to upload the scanned documents such as Photograph, Signature, Finger Impression in required dimension and size.

7.) After that, you will be prompted to make payment either through E-Challan or Net Banking/Debit Card/Credit Card.

8.) Once payment is done successfully, you will get a reference number on your registered email id and/or phone number. Keep it safe for future correspondence.

Eligibility for NEET 2018 Entrance Exam

Aspirants who are willing to appear in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) 2018 can scroll down the article to check the eligibility criteria. NEET 2018 Exam is now the only entrance examination for admission in MBBS and BDS programmes as per the Supreme Court directive given in the year 2016. Candidates are advised to check the eligibility criteria carefully as non-fulfillment of any condition will disqualify him/her from appearing in the examination.

Eligibility Criteria and Qualification Requirements

 Eligibility criteria for NEET (UG) as specified in Indian Medical Council Act-1956/Regulations (amended in 2016) and the Dentist Act-1948/Regulations (amended in 2016).

  1. Candidate should have completed age of 17 years at the time of admission or completed the age on or before 31st December of the year of admission to the first year of MBBS/BDS Course.
  2. The upper age limit for NEET is 25 years as on the date of examination with relaxation of 5 years for those belonging to OBC/SC/ST category.
  3. Number of attempts for each candidate is limited to 3. NEET 2017 will be considered as the first attempt.
  4. Indian Nationals, Non Resident Indians (NRIs), Overseas Citizen of India (OCIs), Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs) & Foreign Nationals are eligible to appear in NEET (UG)-2018.
  5. Aadhaar Card is mandatory to apply for NEET for all Indian citizens.

Qualification Requirements and Qualifying Examination Code

 CODE 01

 A candidate who is appearing in the qualifying examination (Class 12 exam) in 2018 and whose result is awaited may apply and appear in the test. If he/she does not pass the qualifying examination with the required marks at the time of first round of Counselling, he/she will not be eligible for admission to the MBBS or BDS course.

OR

CODE 02

The Indian School Certificate Examination (ISCE) or the Senior Secondary Examination, which is equivalent to 10+2, comprises Biology, Chemistry and Physics (practical tests included) Mathematics or other elective subjects with English as prescribed or set by the NCERT, after introduction of 10+2+3 study structure as suggested by the National Committee on Education.

OR

CODE 03

 The Intermediate/Pre-degree Examination in Science from an Indian University/Board or other recognised examination body with Chemistry, Physics, Biology /Bio-technology (including practical tests) and English as a compulsory subject.

OR

CODE 04

The Pre-professional/Pre-medical Examination (including practical test) with Chemistry, Physics, Biology/Bio-technology & English (compulsory) after passing either the Pre-University or the Higher Secondary Examination or an equivalent examination.

OR

CODE 05

The first year of the three years’ degree course from a recognised University with Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Bio-technology (with practical tests) provided the examination is a University Examination and candidate has passed the earlier qualifying examination with Chemistry, Physics, Biology/ Bio-technology with English at a level not less than a core course.

OR

CODE 06

B.Sc. Examination from an Indian University provided that he/she has passed the B.Sc. Examination with not less than two of the subjects Biology (Botany, Zoology)/Bio-technology, Chemistry, Physics and further he/ she has passed the earlier qualifying examination with Biology, Chemistry, Physics and English.

OR

CODE 07

Any other examination which is found to be equivalent to Intermediate examination of an Indian University/Board with Biology/Bio-technology, Chemistry, Physics (including practical) and English subjects.

  1. Candidates must have passed (or appearing in 2018) any of the qualifying examination mentioned above. The candidate must have passed subjects Biology/Bio-technology, Chemistry, Physics and English individually. Along with this the candidate must secure the following minimum percentage marks in all the subjects taken together:

Please Note:

 Marks obtained in Mathematics will not be considered for admission in MBBS/BDS courses.

Students who have studied abroad should ensure that the qualifying exam passed by them is in the scope of above-mentioned standards. Such students must have passed in subjects like Biology/Bio-technology, Physics, Chemistry and English with 50{56616362fbff030623cdc1a764e361ba30723d58364aefe96fbffdd47beb6523} marks in order to appear in NEET 2018 entrance exam.
